MUIRFIELD eNEWS: March 16, 2019

Crime Alert and Various Updates

  1. ALERT : Attempted break-ins from 2 Muirfield cars I noticed in 2 posts on NextDoor a few days ago security videos showing a man attempting to open car doors in 2 driveways in Muirfield, I think both in the neighborhood near Deer Run Elementary. This occurred @ 3 a.m. Keep your cars locked, don't leave anything valuable inside, report suspicious behavior to police.
  2. The City announced the release of a new smartphone app , GoDublin, available for both Apple and Android devices. So easy to use, good for knowing what is going on, checking times, making a service request. For example, I just now clicked on the calendar for today and tomorrow, and learned that in Bridge Park a street is closed for a St. Patrick's Day/Weekend, block party, with live music, dancers, food! 11:30 to 9 pm both Saturday and Sunday. Go to the app store and search for GoDublin.
  3. The City website, and probably the app as well, has links to watch the presentation that occurred Thursday evening at The Exchange, the event center adjacent to the AC by Marriott Hotel. It was attended by City, Township, and State officials from all over Central Ohio, School Board members and officials, business owners and execs, and many ordinary citizens. The info presented was impressive, and can make us all very proud to live here, confident in our City officials and staff. A small example, financials: Dublin has a rainy day fund equal to 74% of its annual budget, and has earned the top rating, the highest possible, from all three national bond rating agencies. We have an amazing number of miles of multi-use paths, neighborhood parks, a branch library that will be more than double the size of the previous building [grand opening June 6] and a whole variety of new services to help our population "age in place." Explore the City website, feel proud, and learn lots.https://dublinohiousa.gov/ Oh, and download the app to keep up to date.
